At Chena Power, LLC we are always looking for new ways to reduce emissions and save money on fuel. Innovation is like a battle that won't end, but we continue to fight the good fight in hope of finding the next best solution to our ongoing energy struggle. Here is a peak at some of the money saving and eco-friendly products Chena Power is working to make available for the public.

First up, we are currently working on The Chena Passive Refrigeration Unit. This unit (pictured left) is under development but will have the potential to yield phenomenal savings on refrigeration costs by storing the cold air within our atmosphere. Ideally, this unit would lead to zero energy costs for year-round refrigeration.

Another great system we are currently developing for buildings in rural Alaska is the combined heat and power component (pictured below). This unit provides an effective means of utilizing the heat produced by electricity. It is great for heating community buildings which generate a large amount of electricity. In addition, this little unit has the operating potential to reduce energy costs to about about $0.10/kWh.
